Collarbone bruises from cleans may be the best thing ever. I mean, I am fairly certain it’s an indiacation that you aren’t getting your arms around fast enough, but lI was still happy to have them as an idication of the injuries subsiding. Work was pretty magical today and the gymnasium didn’t disappoint either. I am still a little sore in the hip region, but it’s easing up. The squats and step-ups felt good, but man that right side limits me. I tried the 45# BB first and it was cool on the left, but not so on the right, my knee collaposed inward, so I went with the smaller barbell. I have hikes to do this weekend after all. I extended the forward leaning rest becuase 15 seconds was easy breezy.

I am having a hard time getting my carbs in without sweet potatoes. So far I haven’t felt bad or anything so I guess I will just go with it for the sake of experimentation…

The cleans felt fantastic, though I kept wanting to push jerk instead of press. What can I say? I’m all about the jerks these days. Haaay… Tried a rope climb. That was dumb. My right shoulder did NOT like the pull. Noted. Despite the angry piriformis the row felt good. My pace sure has slowed though. I look forward to getting it back around 1:45 (and better!). I kept it just under 2:00 as I didn’t want to push it too much with all the soreness.


04 November | Tuesday

Rest Day

My head and my hip needed a rest day. It felt good and I enjoyed some ear snacks at the Crescent.

I miss the maple syrup in my coffee. Mmm… coffee…


Whew. That was a long one.
